Roan DNA (beta version)

DKDS project
2008

The aim for this project was to create a system that can measure and visualize the unique structure of a road. The system is built upon 3 universal parameters that together makes each road structure completely unique: infrastructure, demography and the visible content of buildings and space on the road. In theory and practice that enables the system to work with every road, everywhere in the world. Like in DNA and fingerprints, the parameters allows the structure to hold, carry and give information which can be useful in many situations

The unique road structure is determined by 3 different kinds of quantitative data information: infrastructure, demography and the visible content of the road

By pulling out specific information from the unique road structure (for example. data about demography), it can be used in many different occasions

The unique road structure can quickly and easily create an information overview about a road or an entire area. This overview can be used to analyze cityscape development for example
